This commemorative letter press broadside by Hullaballoo Press artists Kyle Agnew and Lauren Raker celebrates 2018 Whirling Prize Winner in Poetry, Christine Stewart-Nunez. This is a two-layer print on relic gold parchtone paper. It presents Stewart-Nunez’s poem "The Cosmic Tree at Conception" with the carving of a cherry wood tree. A series of stars in transparent ink, darkening areas of the paper. Size is 12.0 x 18.0 inches.

Hullabaloo Press 

Housed in the UIndy Department of Art & Design, Hullabaloo Press is comprised of graduate and undergraduate printmaking students creating personal works & client-based projects. This work is in pursuit of developing problem solving skills & their individual and unique artistic vision though a variety of traditional and innovative printmaking practices. 

About the artists:

Kyle Agnew is an undergraduate student at UIndy studying printmaking and photography. He will graduate in 2019 with a BFA in studio art with a minor in psychology.

Lauren Raker is an undergraduate student at University of Indianapolis studying printmaking and illustration. She will graduate in May of 2019 with a BFA in studio art.
